Merry Christmas from Houston

A quick education about Christmas in Houston, Texas

I am writing to thank all the advocates of Payback Jack, Politikill, 39, and now Claws the only way I know how - Humor.

Each of you is a blessing to me, enjoy a quick facts about Christmas in Houston Texas

1) Houstonians put up Christmas lights, sweating, shirtless in 88 degree weather, chugging lemonade and sweet tea (or at least I did).

2) Brisket, porkbelly, and ribs continue to gain on turkey as Houston’s Christmas protein of choice (in a non-official poll taken at my house - among the people I cook for - who all happen to be related to me by blood, marriage, or bad decisions).

3) Houstonians hear legends of snow, but we only see it in cone-form (with tons of syrup).

4) The coldest I'll get this Christmas  is pressing my face to the Margarita blender (ahh) or reaching into the cooler for Coors Light.

5) Ammo is not only a perfectly acceptable but preferred stocking stuffer.

6) Santa did not get that figure without discovering my wife's enchiladas (just saying)

7) You have a better chance of finding an honest politician than an icicle in Houston (or maybe I got that reversed.)

8) While I know I am saved by faith alone in Christ (no religion involved - it's that easy) - smoking meats is an accepted religion in Texas.

Ohh - order now and you can finish my newest novel, Claws, by the New Year
