View Payback Jack's most colorful reviews (good, bad, and ugly)

Behind the curtains of book reviews - nothing to hide here. Letting it all hang out.

Okay, we have over 200 reviews and a rating of 4.8 out of 5, but damn't you just can't please everyone. Some of our most colorful reviews are below. Enjoy. My comments in red.

Just couldn't finish it. The authors heavy-handed I-always-keep-a-thesaurus-in-my-hand-descriptive prose was just too much for me too take. This was worth exactly what Kindle Unlimited charged me. (If I am going to get a bad review, I appreciate it when some puts in this kind of effort).

5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging

This was, surprisingly, a first-rate engaging, exciting read. The author knows how to tell a story and keeps you turning page after page. The plot keeps you guessing and on your feet (or butt) untill the end. Smith is a complicated character and the reader has to continually adjust their moral compass as more and more is divulged. Action, suspense, mystery and politics blended perfectly by a terrific writer. (Surprisingly first-rate, did he go in expecting second-rate, did I kick his dog. But seriously grateful for the 5 star review)

Other than a few…very few editing errors, this was an excellent book…and an ending you would not have imagined. Kept my attention. (Please no one tell my English teachers)

The feel of Texas is all through this book. The characters are people you know, or think you know. The story is taken from things that happen somewhere everyday. I couldn’t put it down. I’ll be on the lookout for other books by Timothy Gene Sojka. (Ok cool, maybe one more star next time)
